Default Moosemeat & Marmelade - Awesome Show on APTN

I don't know if you've ever seen it, but APTN has a great show called Moosemeat & Marmelade. It has an English chef and a Cree fella who go around hunting and cooking in both Canada and England. Really enjoyable show. Very interesting, well made, and funny. Well worth a watch.

These guys have a funny show and have some interesting recipes. I enjoyed the episodes on porcupine and muskrat. All their game recipes are worth trying.

Its surprising how many guys get into hunting and the outdoors because they like the idea of cooking local food. Its a good show and I hope more programs include the culinary aspect of things

Default Porcupine

Last show I saw, he cooked a porcupine, but burnt it so badly that it really wasn't edible. A couple of his guests nibbled at it and were polite but ....

I have heard it is really quite good if cooked properly.

They have a website with recipes as well.

Excellent show watched them down a moose with the trusty 30-30, the Foreign guy had a bolt action of some sort. They smoked the meat and made "chucsee " fried colon with bone marrow on bannock. Doesn't get much more real than that!
