I posted a WTB on 'Buy and Sell', and a member called 'grimms' PMed said he has a one for sell. The problem is, he just join the forum without any feedback score, and zero post. That gentleman wants payment first.

Really wants that firearm, so gentlemen, I'm looking for your help. If you know him in personally, please shoot me a PM.

With those clues its pretty much guaranteed he's a fraud. Its not a deal if the item he's selling is imaginary. WTB ads are kind of like bear baits for scoundrels.

I looked up your WTB ad and its not a particularly common item you're seeking, so that kind of adds to the likelihood of the 'seller' being full of crap.

Ask yourself this: What are the odds of a brand new member not only seeing your ad and having that rare item but they just so happen to be looking to sell it?. Those are Powerball jackpot odds.

Ask him to supply a photograph of the rifle next to a newspaper with today's date visible. If it is a scam, you likely won't hear from him again.

the new age reads it all online. even my mother reads the edmonton journal on her ipad

but it's a good idea lots of guys write their username and the date on some paper next to the gun

New guy, ONLY way to do deal is face to face or use one of us if you don't live close. I have done this for other members and had others do this for me and it works great. It also weeded out a few fraudulent douchbags.

there was a couple really good deals where i drove a few hours because the guy had no feed back and they turned out to just be really good deals.

The guy is supposedly in Regina. There are seven AO members who show as being from Regina but only two are active. Op could conrtact them by pm and see if they can help.

Grimms ip is from the states. he is now banned. Thanks for posting. Remember new user that just joined answering a WTB add is a warning sign to be very cautious. Heed your gut and try to get someone to see the gun in person.
