Default craziest fly rod ever!

So i took my 20 month old on a nice little hike along a favorite creek of mine. I had none of my fishing gear with me. Of course it only took a few minutes until i noticed a decent brown sipping bugs off the surface. Just then i remembered i had spotted a loose fly laying in my cars trunk. I also had an old leader in there. What could i use for a rod? A stick? No, i prefer the good old flyrod stand by..The three iron. So tied the leader on,tied the fly on and back to the rising brown.
Well, i'd love to say i threw out a few great casts and BAM! fish on.....but thats not exactly what happened. Obviously club selection was where i went wrong. I should'nt havetried to lay up with the three iron. I should have used the driver.
I'll se you again brown trout...and next time i will be the one with the smirk!

For tough times like this you are better off using your ball retriever...(most utilized club selection in my bag) that way you can control the distance of your cast telescopically....

And if that does not work, you can control it telepathically!

Ingenuity is the mother of invention.
