Default My first buck

Got this guy the other day been chasing him since the opening week.No monster but I dont see very many his size up here. He snuck up on me while I was watching some of his lady friends in a clover patch. Turned around to start gettin ready to leave cause it was getting close to last light and there he was just staring at me. Scared the $^&t out of me actually.rsz_11rsz_deer_2010_003.jpg

Right on. A first buck is the one you only get once.

Nice dark rack. What would he have been rubbing on?

Nothing out of the ordinary from what I could see. There were some dead trees that were darker in colour that I saw some of his rubs on. I dont know if that would do it.

Nice symmetrical 4x4 there. Nothing wrong with that for a first buck.

Nice buck diesel, would be even if it was # 2 or # 20.

There is probably a few bigger bucks in the area. The big boys can be hard to find.

Too bad you don't live over here. There's a nice 160 that wonders through our yard every once in a while. I think you could take this buck, looks like you've got what it takes to get the job done.

I'm not interested in this fellow. I got my once in a lifetime buck so I'm looking for a doe this year. Maybe if I spot one that tops the one I got I'll hunt some horns again. In the meantime, I'm glad to help others where I can.

Tree,

I dont think it can get much more expensive, between the jet boat, quad and argo, not to mention the rifles, shotguns and gear. I pretty much have everything I need except the skills but I think that Im slowly getting a little of that. Believe it or not my wife thinks I might have to much gear. When will she learn. Now lets hope I can get a Moose this november!!!
