Good luck been down in that area for a month and I can't even find a deer let alone a elk. All locals say deer numbers are down the last three years. Thinning everything out because of CWD that's what I figure.

F&W isn't making people turn their elk heads in so I don't think they are worried about CWD. Got pics of this little bull elk about 30 yards from my stand. I will talk to the landowner where I hunt. I think he lets elk hunters on.

I never said that you had to turn your elk head in but the deer shortage has to have something to do with CWD.

I don't think there is a deer "shortage". F&W has been trying to thin deer out to prevent the spread of CWD, but who didn't know that? My first post in this thread was saying F&W aren't too worried about CWD in elk or they would make people turn there elk heads in. Oh and by the way, its Southern.....

you will be praying for some help from the weatherman. without snow and cold, the elk will stand 30 yards inside the fence looking at you. get the weather and you will have lots to choose from. if you think that a provincial park means an easy big bull guess again. youd be wise to shoot the first one you see as he may be the last.
