Sinclair International many years ago, but there are many good rests available these days at gun shops .
Caldwell builds a couple of good ones that are not bank breakers .
That being said, I was looking at a log book with 5 shot groups last night from the 50's when sand bags were still commonly used
These groups were shot from a factory barrelled M70 in .220 swift using 4064 , BLc2 and 3031 and 50-53 grain bullets .
Many of them were smaller than 5/8" in ten and 15 MPH wind!

Decide on a budget, rests and bags range from less than $100 for the cheap plastic rests/canvas bags, to around $1000 for a high end rest and bags. I would avoid the plastic, but it;s not necessary to buy a top end rest to shoot good groups.

The Protektor brand leather bags are made from high quality hides, well stitched together, compact and very practical for load development and general benchtop shooting.
You can get front and rear bags for less than $60 US. The product is made by shooters for shooters, in a Pennsylvania factory. Guys who answer the phone can advise which of their many models is best suited to your application.
