Default Finished Boyds laminate stocks.

I've posted the blue one before. But, I just finished my daughter's, the bottom one....she likes purple. The top one is finished using satin polyurethane. The bottom one was finished with several coats of Tru-Oil. Both are pillared and bedded in epoxy steel.

Wow, nice work! That's a super job, wish I had the talent and patience to try that. Just wondering, is that a Stevens you've dressed up there?

ceedub: thanks and yes those are Stevens 200.

gramps: I've never seen a leftie as an option from Boyds' website, but I've never asked either. I know that Richard's Microfit does have a leftie option for some of their stocks for an extra $15.00. But again, I've never looked into it that deeply. If you're interested, let me know which gun, what stock and what colour then we can check into it a bit more. I do feel for you lefties sometimes.

Laminates sure do look cool, and thumbholes as well!

Nice job on the guns. They look great.

For you leftys like me.

Boyds does sell left hand vesrions. I order one in left hand thumbhole for a right hand Remington short action. It should be at the post office right now. You can also get left, left ones. They do them once or twice a year as special runs so can be quite a wait time. Boyds will not ship stocks over $100 in value to Canada.

For easy availabilty, Ricahrds Microfit is more money but will make left hand right action and left hand left action for darn near any gun made. Aside from their one line of less expensive hunter stocks, virtually all of their models can be had left handed, including the full thumb holes and the modified thumb holes. Check their site, it has great detail and full pricing, plus they ship to Canada with no hassles.
