Default First time on the trunk road

Crossed a bucked list item off earlier this week, and got to venture up the Trunk Road for the first time. I found some nice pools and managed two fish, which felt like a success to me. Lots of ground covered and good views. Didn’t see another person on the river, so it was a good Wednesday.

Beautiful. We're so lucky to have these untouched (still mostly) places on our doorstep

Default Great pictures

I've fished there too. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. Just a tip, if you are not happy with how your casts are going, ie. line pilling up infront of you, just peek behind you during your back cast and don't start your arm going forward until the line is almost straight.
BTW we like to know what fly you were using.

We also like GPS coordinates of where you caught each fish and where you parked. And we'd like a ride and someone to spot fish for us.

Wink

All I know is we had a puffy fly floating on top, brownish colour and about two feet below that a little bead thingy.

Either or would get hit.

As for coordinates, who knows we just followed our son up, down, across over and under all day.

Was awesome not being the guide.
