Default Thanks

Wow they are actually going to display the number of tags given out for each hunt. Not sure why it took this long.

Question Cypress hills elk changes?

Don’t get it...if I have a P10 for either sex elk and I apply for antlered elk with a 999 I’m now a P11 for antlered elk next year?

Nice to see the expanded partner tags for Youth/Seniors, really like the idea of showing quota’s of tags while drawing!

No Bison again

What if you have P3 on Antlered and P11 on either sex and you 999 on Antlered? I can't see they bumping me to P14 for 2021? I Think its only if you apply for antlered or antlerless in the Cypress Hills.

My guess is you’d become a Priority 12 and it would replace your current Priority 3.

My eldest (12) just registered for her WIN card today.
Is it a new rule that she can partner on my drawn special licences?
That's great news as I have several I should be able to pull this year and the next 2 years or so.
This makes my day!

I don't like this Important Notice at top of page regarding Covid. Maybe I don't understand it correctly, but seems to be hinting to me of the possibility hunting could be potentially closed or restricted???

The way I read it is just to be mindful of where you want to hunt this season & aware of restrictions that might be in place due to covid & have an impact on your plans.

Restricted access to staging areas, closures to campgrounds & motels/hotels etc. Those are a few that come to mind. It's not looking likely that we're heading back into more restrictions but you just never know, and should have the worst case scenario in your head when planning for this season.

At least that's the implication I got

I'm not concerned about a deer or moose tag, buy I would be leery of Wainwright and Suffield licenses. Federal not Provincial with a different set of rules. They are basically saying buyer beware with no take backsies.

Guys did you notice the potential changes for next year (2021). Appear to be changing and simplifying many of wmu zones etc. Also appears fees will be going way up to match other provinces & states. We need to pay for Corona.

Maybe in consolidating draw codes they are referring to things such as:

1) Removing multiple trophy sheep draws and going to a single sheep code with zones to choose (All priority gets transfer to Trophy Sheep), this would simplify things.

2) Either sex elk draws fade out maybe this is why the Cyprus one is making changes, their has been talk about 212 elk priority moving to antler less priority. Maybe they plan to eliminate 3-4 elk draw codes by having antlered/antlerless priority now cover zones province wide, including 300/Cyprus.

Just a couple of ways that they could quickly remove almost 10 draw codes to simplify things.

As for pricing according to other jurisdiction that will be very interesting

I called relm about the either sex priority, they said it would be added together if you already have antlered or antlerless priority.

Yeah. But interestingly, compared to last season's CWD map, a whole bunch of zones have also been removed from mandatory submission.
