ATA Wolf Workshop
Here in Slave Lake, this weekend, a full class allotment of members, from near and far, got together for a very informative wolf workshop.
Ken Hildebrand and Jason Parker were on site to do their thing as instructors and did a very admirable job. Thank you guys and you are welcome to be with us anytime.
In addition to having our local members present, there were also those from Kinuso, Valleyview, Bezanson and from even further away, Marwayne and LLoydminister Really nice to have these "one time stranger", join us and share time with them.
After Saturdays lessons were done with, some of our local (wanna be chefs), prepared a BBQ, with all the fixings and as much as even the hungriest could handle..Thx there go to Darcy, Blaine,Joanne and the others, who are always there to do their part for our functions.
Sunday, was our field day, where we (girls included) got our fingernails dirty, setting and bedding traps, for various situations encountered. This is where the experience of Ken and Jason, replaced the years of trial and error, that we would all have had to overcome..
To end the session, we were all "subjected" to another meal, with some great tasting moose meat (supplied by a anonymous member), and done to a turn by Blaine, over an open fire,in a kingsize frypan on site. Thx again Blaine...and to everyone able to attend and make this the success it was.

Thanks for the great hospitality. It was fun sharing what we’ve learnt and cutting back on the groups learning curve. The Slave Lake local is a great group of trappers.
Thanks again!

I am wondering if the session's were video'd so someone not able to attend could purchase the session?

Sorry, I'm afraid they were not. This was over a 2 day period and conditions would not have made for good video..Other "conditions" would have made "editing" difficult and not allowing much to watch...haha..Another reason why it was so fun
