Antelope in Waiparous?
Anyone ever saw Antelope in Waiparous area?
Reason I am asking, I saw a torn up Antelope yesterday near the Forestry Trunk Road. Legs ripped apart and strewn about, ribcage had been picked apart, and head nearby with horns ripped off. Looks like it was freshly killed.

Nope, it was definitely an antelope.
I am assuming then it was poachers that killed the thing in the prairies and dumped it.
Not sure why they would drive all that distance to dump it in the woods though.

Carcass dump? Not necessarily an illegal kill and just dumped the skeleton and hide in crown land?

Unlikely because there were 4 legs strewn about and scattered (by predators most likely) and they all still had meat and hide on them.
The animal had horns at one point, but looked like they had been cut off. Unless a predator ripped them off?

^Most likely. That, or a trophy poacher who took the horns and dumped the carcass (but in that case, I would have thought they'd take the full head/cape).

Anything is possible. Saw 2 antelope on the west side of the QE 2, near Olds once and supposedly there was one sighted near Harmattan, many years ago, according to an Old Timer. Goat found just west of Cremona, not that long ago.
