There are, without a doubt, vicious ignorent people out there that will beat, torture, abuse and kill animals for no reason besides to fulfill their own selfish or cowardly feelings. My opinion is that these individuals represent a small percentage and to groups hunters in with that crowd is just plain stupid. Peta must not have looked at the overall picture of what hunters actually do in controlling the population of animals so they don't become diseased and eventually suffer and die. In one way we are being cruel to animals as we are invade their land with our population growth and development, so what does PETA want us to do, over-populate or towns and cities and stop development or allow hunting and manage the animal population.
In my opinion PETA should focous on the people that are abuseing animals, we all know there are far too many of them and maybe assist in the management of the animals that they are trying to ban hunters from managing.
This is just my opinion!

You need to go to PETA's homepage on the web and just see how far some of these people are from the real world. Not only do they fund people and organizations that firebomb research buildings but they feel no one should keep pets unless they are free to come and go as they please. These people are not a small gruop, but they have a huge population with huge bank accounts. They do not think we should take advantage of cows by milking, there should be know rescue dogs,seeing eye dogs, bomb sniffing dogs as that is taking advantage of the animal. They partake in violent actions to stop the research that uses animals for medical testing but the medical community says if this came about there it would put a stop to research. Funny thing about this is the vice president of PETA is a diabetict who would not be alive today if it was not for animal research and products but she justifys this by saying it helps her carry on wiyh the animals causes.??? They have been compared to terrorist organizations in the US. They were behind the recent push to have animals represented by lawyers in Europe???
