Retired Engineer and Grandfather protests

Edmonton, Ab: Retired Engineer and Grandfather Ken Palmer intends to turn himself in to the Calgary City Police in protest of the Firearms Act. We are asking all concerned citizens to attend this protest in support of Mr. Palmer. The protest will be attended by Oscar Lacombe, retired Sergeant of Arms of the Alberta Legislative Assembly, 25 year Armed Services Personnel, 12 year body guard of Peter Lougheed and Veteran of the Korean War. Also in attendance Senator in waiting Professor Ted Morton of the University of Calgary, lawyer Richard Fritze, and Bruce Hutton, former RCMP officer and founder of LUFA.

"This is the 2nd of many organized 'Compliance Meetings' that the firearms community will be hosting over the next few weeks. Future Compliance Meetings will be huge and thousands of law-abiding citizens will turn themselves in to the appropriate police service demanding prosecution, " stated Hutton. "It's a sad state of affairs when parliamentarians and bureaucrats think they run the country as opposed to the country being run by the citizens. We are as far as we can get from democracy in Canada as is possible without the rest of the world referring to us as a dictatorship."

LUFA hopes that all citizens concerned about the deterioration of the quality of life in Canada will attend to support Mr. Palmer in his statement against this flagrant misuse of tax dollars.
