Default No1A Scope Recommendations

Well, I finally got my Ruger No1A in 30-06 in the mail. I do need to scope it but would like your opinion on what to put on it.I have on hand a
- 40 year old Leupold fixed 6x32,
- about the same age a Weaver 1.5-4.5x20
- a 4 year old Nikon prostaff 2.5-10x40
Or if you suggest to go new, what would you put on it? I am not fond of long range shooting but will do so on Elk if I have to.
Thanks.
By the way , the rifle is gorgeous with nice dark grain. I will post pictures with range results as soon as I get out there.

Pick a scope with a long tube in between the turrets and the bells of the scope as to have enough movement to move the scope far enough back . Or you may need extension rings

I have owned a pile of 1A's and B's and virtually all of them ended up with a 4 or 6X Leipold M8 on them
My current Ruger single started with an M8 and now has a 1-4X Leupold FXR
