I want to throw an adjustable stock on my Maverick 88 in time for birds

Has anyone used this stock?

Wondering about the fit and if it is indeed shorter than the stock on the 88.

I put one on a Winchester SXP to make it a defender. I am not sure how it would be for waterfowl. The fit was OK, certainly not perfect and it adjusted shorter than the original SXP stock. I think I got mine from Al Flaherty's for considerably less.

Ok thanks, I also use it for camp defense and when humping around in bear country.

As far at fit, does it have play or?

The finish and fit to the shotgun is just OK but fine for what I need. There is very little play in the adjustable stock when in it's shortest position and just a bit more when extended. The adjustable comb is a nice feature and so is the cushy recoil pad. I bought the shell holder for it but I don't use it, if you are interested I'd gladly give it to you if you take care of shipping. Overall I am happy with it for what I payed, $125.00
