Default Well I got my 22 mag!

I had a good Idea from Dean on here to check out gun Nutz! Well I did and it didn't take long before I found a CZ 455 LUX 22 mag with 3 clips and some scope mounts with it. Hopefully It is a shooter. They sure look like nice little guns

Be carefull buying from gun nutz. First you think "it's just a 22mag" and once you have the 22 mag you start perusing the used sections "just to see what's out there" and next thing you know your wallet is empty and the post office folks know you on a first name basis.

Or you buy brand new close to home for less than most of the goobers on CGN are asking for used.

You just don't try hard enough all of my purchases from nutz have been %35 off retail or less. It just takes some patience to wait for the right deal.

No need to try hard when you can buy brand new in box CZ 455's for under $500.00.

No risk buying new. Always a risk on CGN and of course there, all rifles have "only had 40 rounds down the tube." I've had ok luck there finding the deals I wanted but theres always a risk vs new.

I've yet to see one under $500 new in a box lol I don't know if that is possible. Looked at a lot of places.
Not sure what 2 extra clips and rings are worth but those I counted as a bonus.

Glad that worked out Nube. CZ mags are about $50 a pop, so not even counting the rings getting a couple of those spare helps a bunch. As to a new 455 for $500, I do a lot of gun shopping and the cheapest I have seen a 455 new in Canada is over $650 and that was a close out clearance price. I will bet dollars to donuts that CZ will shoot just great. Never had one the wouldn't.

Very possible nube but you did get extra mags and rings which I paid 35 (10rd), and 80 for. Went with the Talley lightweight highs and my only small complaints about the CZ's is the bolt throw and a tiny bit of creep in the trigger on some.

Glad you like the CZ. Yes there is always some risk dealing on CGN but after over 100 transactions, I have never had an issue. I would however be suspicious if someone offered me a supposedly new in box CZ 455 for $500, or less.

Best price I found new was 575 at P and D in Edmonton......
Also this is a Lux so it has the sites on the Barrel as well. Not that I care about that really but new they cost more than a regular 455.
We will see how it shoots.
Thing is about most 22 mags is I doubt many people put enough rounds through it to do any harm to a barrel so as long as it shoots decent then I think I win in the end

Why when it comes from a place that gets mentioned here fairly frequently?

Myself, I'm not suspicious when I remove the gun from the box, then the bag, wipe off some of the shipping grease and install the bolt, etc etc etc. Even less suspicion when I see lots of others there in safes ranging from 22 wmr to 17 hmr.

feel free to buy from whomever and wherever you like though Mr elk. I'm not adverse to saving some bucks here and there. Even scored a CZ pen out of the deal.

I didn't go 22wmr. Just 17 hmr and 22 reg. 22 was the lux version and the cheaper of the two. Wish both had the padded butt pad like the varmint but no biggie.

Yep that’s what happened to me after stepping into the suppressor world... I have other fun projects I’ve just left hanging half done due to the reassignment of funds

well I shot the new gun. Trigger is a big too much so I need to lighten it up but over all I am way happy. Shoots a 1.25 inch group at 75 yard basically which I think is pretty good. considering the trigger i am happy

I'm sure it will break in nicely and fix that trigger, try some other ammo's. You're all set even out of the gate. That'll do it. Congrats

455 in .22 mag under $500.00 new?
Man thats some powerful stuff your suggesting.
But, back to the OP, if your feeling spendy try some on that Remington Ammo with the Green Polymer Tip if your looking for some extra zip.
When you smack a gopher they sure do make a good POP and turn into mush.
You going for bigger game than gophers ?

Rob

What are you insinuating Roy? You obviously didn't read the entire thread because I clearly stated I purchased x1 17 HMR and x1 22lr. Both were brand new, in boxes and bags, from a cz retailer.

FYI the 17 was a synthetic stainless at 525. The 22 was a wood Lux for 470. Was there others there to choose from? Yep. Could have had the Varmint .22 for 550. Wood American for 470 in 22 OR 17. 22 wmr wasn't a bump in cost if I recall properly but I wasn't interested in 22wmr.

If you paid more then that's your problem for not using your fingers to source out the best cost for yourself but I'm very happy thanks.

You will like it, and it can even take yotes at shorter distances. I like my 22 mag, its a savage 93 but its a shooter with iron sight's, finally got a diamonback 2x7-33 for it to try out as well.

I've got a Savage 93 as well, heavy stainless barrel.

It gave me some grief early on, would jam frequently when trying to chamber a new round, but they were incredibly helpful when I contacted them. Mailed it in, they rebuilt the trigger group, and it's been awesome since.

You guys gotta check out some crappy tires.... they carry CZ and they can be found for some really good prices. $450, Canada edition at the Vegreville CT for example.

It's all make believe.

Good deal nube. My 455 17HMR was a tack driver as well as my 452. With their preferred ammo both kept many round MOA.

And both went to good homes on CGN for great prices. Better than new.

Well I'm really liking it and think I got a good deal. Love having 3 10 shot mags as well!
Been messing with different ammo and it shoots most of it really well.
