Default Shockwave Broadheads

Anyone use Shockwave 100 grainers? Just wondering what people think of them. Do they fly like the package says "Flies like a fieldpoint - GUARANTEED"? I want to try mechanicals....was using Sonics and they didn't fly as good as I'd like.

kind ugly looking things lol... Sorry never tried them so i can't say much for them.

However i can suggest that if you want to try mechs (fold over the top) try the wasp jackhammer ssts, these i can share my experiances with, Yes they do fly like FPs and they work awsome. Nap spit fires wouldnt go near those, had a buddy that had bad luck with them twice, sure few like fp but man they took a lot to open up, he switched the the ssts.

Otherwise give the newer mechs that use the cam system. ( rky mt snyper, rage, teken) a try, they are more $$ but worth it IMO

Shockwaves are decent mechanicals. NAP makes them, and most of their stuff is excellent. My best luck with mechanicals has been Wasp Jak Hammers. They are tough, fly like darts, and leave huge holes in critters. Short, but wide blood trails are the order of the day with Jaks.
Good luck to you and let us know what you decide.

You aren't the first 2 to recommend WASP J/H's. I think I'll give them a go. I need to get a bowkill under my belt so hopefully a dumb mulie falls victim to me this fall. Thanks.

1st mistake...

"dumb muley"

They're a hell of a lot smarter than moose or pronghorns or for that matter young bears on a bait.

Oh, and I'd check out some of the new cut on contact fixed blades. G5's are spin tested before they leave the factory. Fly darn good for me.

Ive used the 100gr'ers for a few years and really like them. Never had a problem, and the $$$ is pretty good.

Well I haven't met an intelligent one and I've shot quite a few of them.

Munyee - no idea, maybe I'll throw a bait out this spring but I'll probably rifle hunt it. I want to try out my new Tikka 6.5x55.
