Default Any use for feed bags you can think of??

Have 100 of them + or -.
Like a woven plastic material. Was sure because plastic material someone would recycle them as one of those things that would probably take 20 years or more to break down in landfill. Feed stores dont recycle and I have talked to 3 recycling depots so far and they dont know of anyone. Even 2 ag guys from rockyview and Wheatland are not aware of anyone recycling and say most people just dump or burn them. Has to be a better way so if not recyling perhaps someone can reuse them. Free to a good cause

I bag my ashes in them for the trip to the landfill.

Cool

They also make excellent (to an extent self healing) Archery Bag Targets.
Mine is going on 5 or 6 years now.

Cheers

We used to do this and we stuffed them with other feed bags or bits of torn up blue tarps. Foam rubber. Anything really.

I staple them up as wall paper in the barn.
Reduces drafts.

I use them to clean up piles of seed left when a combine plugs up.
Mostly for peas for chicken feed and Canola to feed in my bird feeders.

Redpols and Pine Grossbeak love the Canola seed, BlueJays don't.

Some times I'll pick up a sack of Wheat or Barley to feed the Deer, if I find any.
And I keep a pail of peas around for any Grouse that may come to my feeders.

Last winter I had six Sharpies that hung around for nearly two months and I had nothing to feed them other then the sunflower seeds the other birds dropped.
This year I have peas in case they come back.

Fill some with sand or chip gravel to deal with icy sidewalks or driveways.

Fill with pillow stuffing and draw a face on it to cuddle at night when the wife is mad.

Old cloths / sleeping bags / neoprene waders and more.

Remove all zippers and buttons first of course...

Yo put that into perspective, my fur kid weighed 140 lbs at that point...

Cheers,
Nog

That's a fantastic looking target. Great idea for a small tote!

I am east of calgary but they are up for taking if someone is coming this way. Probably have 6 bags with 20 bags flat and folded in each one. Lots of good uses quote so far I just dont want to burn or put them in landfill

Pallet shrink wrapping. If you take the bag to a local transport company or someplace where they routinely knock down pallets - it will be filled in no time.
Arrows (using field tips) typically slip through the weave of the bag easily - then get stopped by the shrink wrap.

If the bag gets worn out - the stuffing is usually still fine. Cheap and easy!
