Prophet River Firearms is moving

We are excited to announce we will be moving from our current downtown location and moving to the west side of town, just off highway 16 (Yellowhead highway).

We will begin remodeling this new location this coming week. We hope to close the current location and be in the new location sometime late in 2021.

We hope to have very little service interruption due to this move. Many 'thank yous' to our tens of thousands of customers , both online and in store, who have made this move possible and necessary.

The new location will have 4000 feet of retail and 7000 feet of warehouse/mail order space.

This thread will be updated with pictures as we progress. Right now the building is just an empty shell.

For those of you familiar with Lloydminster here is a map. The building is the SW corner where 43rd St intersects 66 Ave. Normally very easy to get to. If you are in the McDonald's drive through it is 'kitty corner' to our lot.

C: So since you are moving to Alberta does that mean you will only charge 5% tax for us out of province online buyers?

P: We have only ever charged 5% GST (or HST if you are an HST province) and we have always been in AB. Rules recently changed in QC. Of course, we ONLY charge what the CRA requires us to charge and remit.

C: Looking at the map and your description, does that put you beside House of Hybrids? Can't wait to check out the new store.

P: Yes, they are in what used to be the 'Cooler'. At one point both buildings were owned by the same interest is my understanding .

Our new Shipping & Receiving door has been installed, and materials are starting to arrive!

The retail area is mostly painted (off white, grey tinge) and almost ready to frame/build the bathroom and one open office for the sales manager(Chris) The floor is being prepped and the material has arrived! Much of the lighting is in place.
In the warehouse/shipping area the vault is poured and the office's are just starting to be framed.
First five are the retail, last one is the warehouse. We are not sharing publicly very much for detail of the vault.

Some of the cabinets showed up yesterday (in the middle of a snowstorm)
Ten general shelving units and a unit that will be used for the checkout area. The gun counter cabinets are likely still three weeks away.

The floors in the office area look good. We just put epoxy on today The wall on the left is one side of the vault and the slat board is for scope bases and rings.

C: I don't want to be negative, but I hope there will be some kind of deterrent to stop someone from crashing through the front doors.

P: It will not happen here. We are just hanging the front gate today(tomorrow?) but the metal 'pipes' you see are hydrovacced down 16 feet and the holes are full of concrete and rebar. There are three guarding the front door.

We don't 'mess' when it comes to security. Of course, many of the security features will not be disclosed publicly.

C: I'd recommend something for your roof too. More and more businesses are getting hit through the ceiling.

P: That has been done too but we will not disclose those measures.
Also, we have a vault completely enclosed in 320,000 lbs of concrete that would have to be breached in order to steal any firearms.
