This is her third season hunting and before now has not managed to close the deal on a buck. Sat night we had some luck on our side, as this fella walked out just as she was about to shoot a doe. I stopped her just in time as she was just about to squeeze the trigger and told her to look 30 feet to the right. He stepped out of the trees and was heading for the doe. He stopped 30 feet behind and she made a beautiful shot. He went 50 yrds behind a hill. When we got up to him she was ecstatic on how big he was. I'm glad she didn't have time to focus on the size before she shot. Buck fever can do wonders.
