1240+3= 1243. Not about quantity, it's about quality. They were like... super dead.

Bullsh_t...

You didn't kill 1000 of them this year, they haven't even been out for a month.

Yeah, I'd probably think that too if I never looked much further than my front lawn.
However, the gophers have been out in Calgary since February 9.
We started shooting at the farm on February 19; shot 85 by end of light on the 20th. By March 1 we were at 524. Couldn't get out again again until this weekend; shot 444 over both days. The landowner has been out following our lead and says he's over 200 already, which is more than he has shot in several years.
So yeah, they are out, and between us we've shot over 1,100 on a 1/4 section. Still haven't seen a female in all the carcasses I've checked, so I'm guesstimating that we haven't hit the 1/2 way mark yet.

Nothing fancy: stainless and wood Marlin 60 topped with a 2.5-10 Mil-Dot varmint scope. The missus has an identical set up, just shortened the stock 1/2" to fit her better.
Highly accurate and relatively low cost, but they need a lot of cleaning.
Sometimes we'll take a break from the production shooting and set up for lunch on top of a hill with the 22-250.

What is the B&C (or maybe the AO) minimum for a bull? Nose to tail? Ear to ear? Measured like a bear skull?

1248 + 1= 1249. My little brother, whisky (Siberia husky) got a hold of one in the yard after a very entertaining chase. He was very proud of himself and so was I.

I'm the guy with the least amount so far on this post, but here's a few shots from my first trip out this year.

My first time outside of the range with my new CZ455 Lux. Nice rifle, smooth action, pretty decent trigger.

My first gopher of the year, and first with the new rifle. Open sights make it a challenge for my 50 year old eyes.

My buddy with one of his first of the season with tbe BL-22:

Not much snow left last weekend. That was too bad because I wanted to make a snowman and blow it up with Tannerite.

I haven't shot a single one yet. But Benny the Beagle got 2. So 1319 +2 = 1321

1321 + 429 = 1750

Had 2 others out shooting with us today, so that is the total for 4 shooters.
