Check with the ATA office about membership. The course used to include a one year membership.

Thanks for the info, does anyone know if a guy had the course in another province would Alberta recognize it? Or would you still need to do the course in Alberta to be legal?

I was wondering about that, Dugh, but wasn't sure and could only go with what is posted in the link from the ATA website. Maybe they need to update it? I'd bring the issue forward but I've already met my email quota to the ATA for this month.

Yes, I just called the ATA and the Alberta course comes with a 1 year membership. We took the course some years ago and quite enjoyed it. Stayed at the college by Debolt, food was great, instruction was very good by Mark and Gordy and the bull$#!^ around the evening fire was second to none for sure.

I have asked the Mods if they can edit my initial post to include the one year ATA membership. I don't know if they can do it though.

Do you know which ones? I don't think that all provincial trapping courses are approved for a license in Alberta. I have asked in the past and researched it online but no one can tell me and I could not find any info. Anyone know?
