375 raptor or 338 federal?

Im looking at doing a build in one or the other on a rem short action since they are both are a 308 brass, i am leaning towards the 375 since i would like to run a 250-300gr and use it as a thick bush carbine with a 18.5 barrel

I like the 338 federal of the two as it will give you great range and versatility out of the short barrel. The 358 win is another option I am fond of, but not as much range as the 338 federal. Outside of the 308 class in a short action, the 9.3 Sisk has always appealed to me, but I have no experience with it except the written word ... my .02
