Default Looking for RCBS Precision Mic

I have checked all the usual places WS, Cabelas, Bass Pro and google. Amazon has some at ridiculous prices. I looking for 7mm-08 and 270 win. Anybody have any suggestions?

X-reload does not show either one. I will have to phone P&D on Monday. Thanks for the leads.

Hirsch Precision, or Mystic Precision.

May not be on their websites, should call for availability.

If you are going to just use it to measure bumping shoulders the 270 one should work for both.
I use mine in 270 win for 280 rem and made some spacers to use for creedmoor and 243.
Think I gor mine from brownells.

By spacers, you mean something to make up the difference in case length. Never thought of that.
Brownells has the 7mm-08 has backorderable but the 270 win in stock. Was it easy to get across the border.

Alternate approach might be a Hornady comparator. Way cheaper in the long run than precision mic's in multiple calibers.

Have never used either one. Just looked to me that the hornady had more places for me to screw it up.

Nah, not really. It's slightly more technique dependent, but not much. I have the Hornady & it's very simple and easy to use. I use it to load for three calibers currently & the kit off the shelf accommodated everything I needed without the purchase of any other components.

Here's a great YT vid comparing the two systems:

If the RCBS Competition die set does what it claims to do, you might not need the RCBS micrometer. But that depends on the need for the need to measure head space in addition to bullet ogive position.
