Default Making rotary machine for snow geese- windshield motor.

So I went to pick-n-pull and got two windshield motors but both of them move like a windshield wiper instead of whoozing around like everyone claims they do. Is anyone here an electrician or possibly has worked on this? I may just ask my dad who is a car mechanic later, but this is probably quicker

Wrong forum? I'm guessing this doesn't belong in the hunting forum. Unless of course it's for your hunting vehicle, and in that case... carry on.

A rotary machine is for snow goose hunting. I am not sure where else to put it haha.

All electric motors are rotary. There will be some sort of gear case or crank arm attached to the wiper motor that converts rotary motion to oscillating. You may be able to remove that part of the device.
You could look into a window motor. They have on board gear reduction and a rotary output.

I used one from a 1975 chev pickem up
it goes round and round
but to fast so I had to use a rheostat switch from an old dodge
a more robust motor would be a concave motor from a combine
check out westlock tractor parts for one
either that or bass pro sells them for around $300 I think

You can buy the actual rotary motor for under $100. U can buy the rheostat for $10 on eBay. Prob pick up the motor for half off eBay. Or pay $250 and buy it all new from Jim

the buy it from Jim deal is the bestest route to go
saves time and frustration
unless you like to tinker with stuff
there is something to be said about making yer own equipment
implementing it on a hunt
and having everything come together
successfully

Went back to pick and pull and they let me take out a new motor that works now. Does a 360 turn haha. Now all I need to do I wait for my uncle to come back from Poland to weld it all together.

I just got my shipment last week of 35 dozen plus the other 15 I had before lol
That is a pile of dekes!!
I need some flyers as I left mine at camp. I think we got 3 rotories as well.
Should be good. I plan on getting out a little more this year. I got the small trailer and if it's muddy I got the gray one to throw the quad in as well.
