This model was produced about 10 or more years ago and Darton makes good bows. If the price is right it would be worth buying. Have it looked at by a bow technician and get it set up.

I'm guessing he's talking about the new version like this one on the link. But I could be wrong??

Yes bowhunter9841 that was the one I'm talking about. A local guy is a dealer up my way so heading over soon to check it out. I shot a darton 3800 on the weekend and they are so smooth and no vibration at all. Very impressed. Getting rid of the APA

It does look like a pretty nice bow, If I had a bunch of money to blow, I'd be buying all kinds of bows, and testing different setups to see what I like best. Right now, I'm kinda partial to hoyts. Hopefully the darton works out for you!

I've been a Hoyt shooter for years and I just picked up my Darton Mav 2. It's awesome. I ordered it because I love my friends 3800 but this is even better. I'd recommend it .

How much of a price difference is it, compared to the hoyts? If you don't mind me asking.

we now have added the Darton line and have sold several this past month. The new Maverick is smoother drawing and more let-off than the previous 3800 and 3900's. Drop in and shoot them side by side the Mathews, Hoyt, Elite and Prime line. We will have the new Maverick on display at the Sprotsman Show.
