Hi All;

Interested in get in some spring fly fishing, but not sure where to go. Most of the water I fish opens June 15th....where could I go to wet a line in the spring.

Only rivers I can think of is Bow south of Calgary, and Crowsnest...?

Thanks,

Haven't got the new regs; however, I'm sure I was on the Clearwater last year Apr 1. Also I tried a couple of creeks that open 1 Apr. The hard part of the creeks was walking in deep snow thru the trees.

This year I'm not sure what the ice condition is for that area

I was snowmobiling at elk creek two weeks ago and there was still 4 feet of snow in spots.

You live in Cochrane, you're the "Trout Tracker", and you don't know where to fish? You live a sheltered life

Pick up a copy of the regulations and use google maps

JReed. How about turn down the attitude. You seem to come on the forums to be condescending.

Trout tracker,

The creeks from Cochrane north of Rocky are either still frozen or very dirty.
Save your gas for a couple of weeks.
