Default Archery Moose

Less than two weeks after I got my bull elk, I was able to arrow this nice young bull moose FROM THE SAME TREESTAND! It seems the rut is getting going nicely. I had been grunting ocassionally, and at about 18:45 heard 4 or 5 grunts in response. It sounded close, and I was anticipating the bull coming right in, but after an hour of grunting in my usual sequence I had heard nothing. I decide to try a cow call (my first of the evening), and I no sooner finished my call, and the bull responded - quite close. Within 30 seconds I could hear what sounded like a herd of moose coming thru the timber - the bull grunting steady & loud. Finally I could see moose - a cow and calf first with the bull in hot pursuit. All three moose were on the run, and the cow & calf went to the left of me while the bull went to the right. He stopped less than 10 yards from me quartering away slightly. I settled my pin, and released. The arrow passed thru him like a hot knife thru butter. He bolted & went about 70 yards. I heard him expire. Now THEMS GOOD EATS

Hey, that's fantastic. I'm guessing that it's not very often an elk and a moose get taken by the same guy in the same stand is such a short period of time. Sounds like ya got a real honey hole there. Good for you and congrats!

The only thing that tree stand is missing is a hole in the seat with a role of Charmin hanging off a branch!

Good eats for sure! You got room in your freezer in case you get a chance at a big buck? A bull elk a bull moose and maybe a good buck from the same stand.....now that would be the meaning of a tri-fecta!
