Default Archery moose

I think I've looked at pretty much every wmu, but just want to make sure. Is there anywhere in alberta that has an archery only moose season during the rut? Thanks for any info.

most of the southern 300 wmu's are archery only until october 24th, but you need a draw tag

There are probably about 25 zones with OTC archery moose seasons until Sept 23. The time frame from Sept 16 to 23 you should be able to call moose in as I have shot several during this period in fact 3 on Sept 16. This isnt the peak of rut by any means but they definitely will come in to a call during this time frame.

I'm guessing the further North you go the better as the photoperiod is shorter earlier therefore cycling starts earlier?

Thanks for all the info, it's been a dream for a long time to go after rutting bull moose especially without any trigger happy gun hunters around.
