Arrow Fly Tying Materials

Hey guys (and gals) I was hoping to find someone around the Calgary area that is willing to share some of the spoils of their hunts, I am new to fly tying and looking for fur or feathers, pieces that would other wise end up in the trash.

There are obviously better materials and sections of hides for tying flies than others but literally anything would be appreciated.

Feel free to contact me via PM if you rather.

Thanks a bunch

This is a difficult thing to do, + the insects that would just 'show up' out of no where will really gross you out. They are seriously creepy insects. Buy Moose hair, Deer hair, hairs faces, pheasant capes etc at a fly shop. The process has been done and you can keep them in your home without risk of infestation.

I am, at best, a novice fly tier, but my advice is not to hang onto hides and feathers that didn't come from the fly shop.
