Antelope Decoying...Unconventional but it works!!
Finally got our long-awaited antelope archery draw this year along with my brother and uncle. Filled 2 out of the 3 tags. Weather was a bit warm, but still had a few speed goats respond to the costume decoys. If you've hunted these critters, you'll get a kick out of the video...

Interesting timing on this post. I saw this vid a few months ago and was thinking of posting a link and asking guys what they thought.
Congrats on your success. How did you find the bucks responded to the outfits? Did you also have the hat and horns to go with it?

We've been using the outfits whenever we got drawn since 2003. We have found them to work every bit as well as a 2-d decoy, if not, better. This trip was unseasonably warm and early in the season so I don't think the herd bucks were as aggressive as they could have been. We've had lots of close encounters that we didn't catch on camera over the years. The nice thing about the costumes is that you don't have to lug a bulky decoy across the plains...just your bow.
Shirts, hats, horns, ears, etc. - all home made.

Interesting technique there Arlis, I see you may have been hunting the same area maybe? The store sure looked familiar.

okay - now I've actually seen the whole video! It was so choppy last night I missed whole chunks, like the beginning and the end. Wierd, worked a lot better this morning.

That is too cool !!
Definitely looks like the way to go rather than fumbling with a decoy.
Obviously works.
Is that a custom made outfit or can they be bought ?
Hmmm...
Maybe I'll tell the wife I want to be an antelope for Halloween.....
