Default Mere's leg

Looking for a little advice on Mere's leg rifles. I know there is a couple manufacturers. Henry, Rossi etc....

I have owned Henry rifles before. All though nice rifles I wasn't excited about the way you load ammo into it.
I prefer the way Marlins load from the side.

Of course I have answered my own question about the Henry....but what about the other manufacturers? Do they load from the side or front?
Any particular model that stands out as the better option?
Caliber isn't really an issue at this point. I load for just about everything.

Thanks

I have 2 Rossi's, they load from the side. One i bought on a whim( not sure why now except it is a "fun gun" not much good for anything else. The second one was a fire sale, so I bought it and installed a full size stock. I had to pull both apart and polish up the action to make them smooth ( as a Rossi can get). I don't think Rossi makes them any more, or if Rossi is even still around. I'm sure the Henry's are a much better gun. Not sure about any others.

Chiappa makes one as well. Not sure how it loads.
