Fish it a couple times a year for past 30 years. Really nice campground. Usually quiet. Fishing isnt crazy, always a few 2-3 lb pike. My son caught a 10" walleye last summer. Only one ive ever seen caught there, they were stocked years ago. Believe its 1 pike over 63cm. Weve keep 1 a year and are decent eating out of that lake. Again keep expectations low for fishing and you may get suprised. Ive had 10-12 fish days... mostly hammer handles. Beautiful camp ground!! Dirt road in can get sketchy.

Been a while since I fished there so I can't say how it is now. Nice quiet lake. The fish weren't too shy and were willing to come and shake a spoon. If you go camping there in a week or two just south of Wolf lake on the same road is the Pembina river. This reach of the Pembina river is permanently closed to fishing now but the ground around there can be blue with blueberries in mid to late August. I picked a 3 gallon pail full in an afternoon.

There were a few bears around the campgrounds and blueberry patches when I was there.

Wolf Creek, which runs out of Wolf Lake and joins the Macleod River, has a population of small grayling and Athabasca rainbow trout. The fishing is very tough, though because of thick forests and mosquitoes.

I just camped there this weekend and fished hard to try and catch a walleye. Slow trolled bottom bouncers with worms, minnows etc and nothing but small pike. Jig and minnow, small pike. Crankbaits, small pike. It is a beautiful little lake, very clean and clear. Wolf lake road is 53km of gravel and rough. I talked to a couple of different campers and fisherman there on Saturday and they have been going there every year for the last 20 yrs (for the camping) and have never caught a walleye... And they knew what they were doing.
