Default Road to Siebert Lake

Hey, all. Has anyone been to Siebert Lake lately? What is the road like going in? Would I be able to get my fifth wheel trailer and boat in together?
Thanks.

Road doesn’t get sloppy because it’s mostly sand. Should be ok if we have some dry weather. I have a hard time believing that fishing is very good. That lake is nearly fished out from what I’ve seen.

few years ago, I had baits in the spring for the bears down that road, there is a cut line not far south of the campground, I shot a bear to the east of the main road, had him walk to me and shot him with my 12 gauge slug, skinned him then went to the campground for lunch, now all park around those areas, sorry for the side line

Good luck fishing once you make it in there but make sure you save some walleye for me so I can fill my 3 tags when I get a chance to head up there. Lol

Seibert is on tags for walleye?!!
I just had to check the regs to see for myself.
You have to buy tags for walleye, and can't keep a pike of any size.
That is insane.
Probably due to the nice shape they keep the road in now...

I'm glad I made the trip in back when I did.
I always figured I'd go back one day again, but it you can't even eat anything while you're up there, I see no reason to drive that far.

Awesome, thanks. Do you have to book a site on the Ab Gov website?

Lake is crawling with Walleye. We were up there a week ago and zero issue filling tags. Road is a bit rough for sure, will take some time if your hauling a big rig in there.

Lots of class C left but no class B. Found the C's weren't quite as prolific but still very catchable and good eating.

Yes because it a long haul, down a usually rough road to get to an average fishing lake.

It is, however, pretty darn quiet and away from all the weekend idiots at lakes closer to the city.

My biggest is 49" (Actually my son's) from seibert 10 years ago, the pike fishing is not what is used to be there, the biggest so far this year is 15 pounds, I have fished Seibert lake lots for 25 years, I am sure there is still some HOGS in seibert but I fish for walleye now there

15 pounds is a decent fish might have to give it a go one day before the white stuff starts to fly

Heading there in a couple weeks and will report back. How’s the boat launch these days? We’re thinking about bringing the pontoon boat if the launch is good enough...

Yes the walleye bite is on, the only way you are not catching is if your lure is not in the water. Lol
