I’ve stripped a few laminate stocks with a chemical stripper with no issues on the plywood bond. Treat it as you would any other rifle stock. Oil finished, they turn out great.

Scrape the stripper and the finish off the stock after it has soaked for an hour or so, use a firm brush on the checkering, then clean it all off and let dry. You can sand it smooth if you want. I used danish oil on this ABolt and it turned out nice. Laminate stocks are tough. You won’t wreck it. Good luck!

Default laminate

The embedded paint came out with a stiff bristled brush after several doses of stripper.
