Default Rain, Rain ..... let it Rain!

Sylvan ... June 7th, started last night, pic taken at noon, just over 3/4" or 22 mm hope it continues for the afternoon & evening, tomorrow the sun will shine again & farmers will be smiling!

Looks like most of the province is getting wet, but not High Level, is it raining were you live ?

Edit: .... should of said it's +3C with a rain/snow mix at R/D airport.

Hasn’t rained in Peace River since... I don’t remember, to be honest, the last time it rained. Unless it rained during the past week; I am away but there was nothing in the forecast.

Yup I don't mind the rain one bit, but the snow did not need to show up, the temperature could be a bit warmer so we don't have to run the furnace.

Over here at Pigeon Lake it's been raining pretty good all night and no let up to be seen in the near future...looks like it's back to the Tigers woods golf on the old PS3 to waste the day away...oh and it's slightly cold here as well, no snow like stuff falling yet, but, it could happen I suppose.

Yes the rain is much welcomed. I just hope it continues through the night and into tomorrow. I love sleeping in to the smell of the fresh air and sound of the rain.

This is our first shot of beneficial moisture since the snow melted. Another week of hot/dry weather would have spelled disaster for my crops.

That’s the best kind of moisture this time of year. A slow melt with minimal run off.

Less than half an inch down here in Calgary's deep South, and the skies are clearing. Would have liked a little more.

Was a mostly hot windy day here in the Peace River area. Not good. Even the heavy snow in southern Alberta be a welcome sight of moisture under here

The north desperately needs some rain. A few scattered showers east of Peace River that amounted to nothing really.

Was raining in Calgary pretty good Thursday and Friday morning. Went down to Lethbridge on the weekend and they only got a few thunderstorms.. Starting to look less green down south now but not terrible. Im always surprised in how much the weather changes when you head north or south of the Bow River. Anyone else find this with big rivers in alberta? Big changes when your cross them?

My rain gauge has recorded a total of 20mm since March 31. 10 mm in the past week.

But showers have been very spotty here lately. We got 10mm our neighbor a mile away got less then 5mm

We have had more new fires from lightening strikes then showers this month.

A new one was discovered yesterday five miles East of us. It has been extinguished but with the dry conditions even a small fire could become a monster in a day or two.
