Gohper hunting and Prairie Mushrooms

Had a great day today out shootin some Prairie rats, got to the farmers and he was elated we where there he said he shot 4500 already, i had the 22,, 30-06 and the 257weatherby mag just to reach out and touch a couple . some mounds had 4-5 on them and we just picked them off we did not get 1 km and we had couple hundred and no more bullets , stopped back in and said be back next week he said sure hope so, in our travels found the all mighty prairie mushroom...been picking them for 40 years , great to eat cooked down and add a 50/50 cream and cook down and a great BBQ Rib eye ....life is good
