Default Barbeque Grills

Curious to know what everybody has and what their likes and dislikes are. I'm getting out of the tractor tomorrow from seeding and heading to Edmonton to pick up a Weber Summit S-670 for the house and a Weber Genesis 320 for the cabin. I've never owned a Weber but have wanted one for awhile now, I told myself as soon as our house was built I was going to splurge on a new grill. I'm going to Barbeque Country as they have what I want in stock but does anyone know any other Weber dealers in the city.

So, what"s everybody cooking on?

Broil King Signet 90. It throws some serious heat and I love the dedicated rotisserie burner. It means I don't have to worry about fat drippings causing flare ups. I picked this up from Rona for $400 because they matched Home Depot's 20% off all BBQ event 2 years ago.

I had to purchase a new Grill because we moved into a house without a Natural Gas line and I gave my NG Grill to my Father inlaw. It was a Weber Silver B. It is now about 7 years old and a great grill. I was pretty much set on either a Weber Summit or Napoleon Prestige 2. I found that the prices had jumped significantly and I did not want to pay $1500+ for a grill. A guy I met who had worked for BBQ galore said that for any grill under $1000 nothing touches a Broil King.

I second the Naploeon BBQ, have one now for a year, love it. Great even cooking and solid construction. Plus they are Canadian made!!
Bought the Nat. gas version and never been happier.

For the RV, I have the Camp Chef Tahoe system with BBQ box and Cast Iron cook ware. Unbelieveable BTU's, Can cook on the BBQ box over two burners, and the Third burner has enough heat to use a Turkey Deep fryer. I modified it to connect to the Trailers RVQ gas connection, no need to bring another propane bottle.

Happy Burning,,

Troy, you can bring beer anytime you want, I'll supply the steaks.

I missed the 20% off sale at Home Depot last week so I'm hoping they might still match it today, we will see.

Good choice on the Webers. I have a bigger one at home, and a Genesis at our cabin too. You won't be dissappointed.

I've had my eye on one of these for a while. Might have to wait till Cabellas sets up shop in Edmonton to save on some shipping costs

Bought a Master Chef from CrappyTire last week. Was on sale for $180. Stainless steel with 4 burners and no side burner which I like cause I never use the side burner. Not bad to put together and so far cooks like a charm. Really like it. Couldn't justify spending more on a BBQ. http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en

I bought a Weber Summit series from BBQ country last year and love it. I noticed that Costco in Sherwood Park had them in this spring, I can't remember but I think it was the 620 model, I think they were $1600 or 1700.

Well I ended up picking up a Summit 470 and a Genesis 320 from BBQ Country. Should have got more accessories while I was there but the bill was starting to add up.

What model did you get Joey, I was really contemplating getting the 670. That store is a real mans store, I could have stayed in their for hours.

Charcoal would be nice but I personally don't have time for charcoal, when I get home I want to be able to start cooking right away. At the lake there are alot of better things to do then wait for a charcoal grill to heat up, and I doubt the wife would like the hassle either when she is cooking.

I would have probably went with the 420 as well Joey but we use the rotisserie a fair bit and I liked how the 470 has the built in rotisserie and the smoker box, the bad part is the smoker box takes up some of the cooking space. Are you guys planning on heading this direction at all this summer?

Probably head down with the camper at some point this summer, we'll have to hook up if it works out.
