Default Going for my first moose hunt, no sleep tonight I guess:)

I don't get out hunting much lately, more like a couple of drives for a few walks the last few seasons. I've done well with grouse but haven't put the time in to bag a deer. Passed on a few that I'm kicking myself for now lol.
But, I decided to pull a moose tag this year.
We're headed out in the morning to set up camp and poke around for a couple of days before the season opens and then spend a few more days hunting.
I know the area very well and have seen more moose than I can count over the years. A little scouting this summer and didn't see any but found sign that they're still in the areas we know.
So here's to hoping, if you have a moment send a little luck my way I'd appreciate it!
But if I don't see anything other than a squirrel it'll be a nice get away!
Good luck to everyone, hope I'll get to post a pic of a bull for yis sometime next week

Have fun, be safe. Good luck !!

I am heading out with my hunting buddies next weekend for our annual trip. It will be 27 years now. What started as 2 friends for about 6-7 years has now grown into a camp of 9. Plus now some of us with sons, they come out for a few days as well.

Good luck. Here's wishing you some clear, cold and calm weather. The 3 c's for a successful hunt. Like my dad used to say if you're calling and get a moose coming to you. Go all wolf on him.

Thanks all! It was a great trip. Didn't get to pull the trigger, but called one in! Just couldn't get him to come out of the trees into range. I tried to swing around and get close but he busted me and buggered off. I'll be back next week for another try. My buddy did manage to get a few ruffies which were great over the fire
