Default Ice Condition in the Medicine Hat area

Hi

I was wondering if anybody has been out ice fishing around the 'Hat lately?

Was thinking of hitting Michele or Reesor next week and was wondering on the ice conditions and thickness at these lakes.

Thanks in advance.

Wow, I live out by rattlesnake and I only have 3.5 inches on my dugout.

Thought I would update this....

Buddy went to rattlesnake Monday drilled some holes about a 100 yards out in the back half said the ice was 6-8” and good quality too. I hit up Murray on Thursday by the dam and it has a good 8” of quality ice.

Thanks for the update. Surprised there is that much. Will be visiting family over the holidays down there and was hoping to get out. How was the bite at Murray?

I was very surprised as well,I was hoping for 4”. The bite was really good, had over 20 fish hit tip ups in about 5 hours. Couple really decent ones too.
