1.20 in Lethbridge yesterday after filling up in Cgy the day before at 1.00. Apparently they didnt get the memo.

As soon as you head south of Cgy gas jumps .20 per litre. Ridiculous.

0.95 at 1 pm yesterday, then back up to 0.97 at 10 pm this morning is 0.98. same station.

We sure need a agency of some kind to keep these leaches in check. Absolutely no reason for prices to change that often and soon.

Go back to the days of very little movement in the prices and everyone was creaming "PRICE FIXING"

LESS government is BETTER government. The last thing we need is a bunch of bureaucrats screwing around in private business. If you really think oil companies are making excess profits you are free to buy their shares, Suncor, Parkland, PetroCanada and Husky all have refineries (the only stocks that have done reasonable out of those is Suncor and Parkland, the other two have been dogs for 30 years). That way you can profit from their activities. You also have the option to buy a gas station and see how rich you can get selling gas.

I prefer to shop the bargains and let the market do its thing.

It will be interesting to see how long the gap lasts for.
I would expect the oil companies to close the gap again, by july1.

Gas in Lloydminster today afaik is $1.16

I just bought 400L in Nisku for $.919 with additional 4c/L back petro-points and another 4% in Visa cash back. Was going anyway, brought back a free $96 worth of fuel over buying in Lloydminster.
Next time I will take a 600L tank I think. Time to start stocking up.

Diesel was .999 might have to take the 1 ton next time and grab 600L for it too.

I hate not supporting the local economy, especially when King Husky just put tanks in town, but with the amount of fuel I go through I have to take it where and when I can get the deal.

If only their was an app that provided up to date gas prices across the country. If I had the ability to design an app like that I would probably call it gas buddy or something like that.

Gas is down to 89.9 in Edmonton at Costco yesterday and today. PetroCan still 91.9. I don't burn enough gas to really make a big difference but for the guys that do it is definitely worth stocking up when prices drop 30 cents a litre.

your point? Who cares what the price is 3 provinces away, we are talking about local. Not sure the relevance of your reply?

My point is straight forward. Their is a free app that provides up to date gas prices for practically every gas station in North America. Yes, that includes Edmonton and lloydminster. No need to wonder what the price is. Very helpful tool for those looking for the cheapest price in their neighbourhood or for folks travelling.

My guess is that the intent of this thread had less to do with updating everyone on gas prices and more to do with updating the AO world on how much fuel you bought which is fine. Check out GasBuddy. It’s a great app

Paid 95 cents at the Airdrie co op yesterday. Couple that with the extra 8 cents a liter you get back later that is the first time I have paid 87 cents in a long dang time!

The intent is showing where there is a deal you take it if possible. I save nearly 25c/L which if you are driving a prius and gas up once a month means nothing but for anyone that puts on miles it is huge.

I check gasbuddy daily. Then XE.com and fishing reports.

I was impressed by getting diesel for 98.9 a litre at the South Edmonton Common Canadian Tire gas bar about 6 hours ago. I wish I had some empty jerry cans with me.

I just bought 3 more transfer tanks. A nice aluminum 311L L and 2 steel low profile tanks. 1 tank = 15 Jerry cans that won't leak because I pump them out.
On the lookout for more too!

on a completely unrelated note I have 20 Jerry cans for sale lol
