And I don't think he was. Just having some fun with the fact he's been a part of 5 teams that won first overalls and it has to be a record.

My prediction for the off season.

Oilers trade Draisaitl to the Flames for Giordano. Oilers then assign Giordano to Bakersfield where he forms a potent tandem with Brandon Manning.

The message gets sent out to the rest of the league; nobody messes with McDavid and gets away with it.

I wouldn’t put it past oilers to trade a 21 year old superstar for a 35 year old..... you may be right.

Straight to a Flames reference lol. You should charge rent for the space Flames rent in your head bud.
You on the Berta bandwagon, and cheering on the Flames this playoffs?

After 4 years with the Edmonton Oilers, Connor McDavid has decided to retire.

It's a FACT the Oilers NEED cap space. Hard decisions are going to have to be made....Worse than the King Ralph cuts way back when...Only way out of the $h!t storm Chia left us, IMHO is to make a deal with Drai and Looch for a few players and salary absorption...Just remember..Wayne Gretsky got traded It's going to suck BUT short term pain for long term gain

I missed all the news coverage about the draft other than the Oilers got #8 pick. Who are they likely to draft?

Goes both ways, more than a few Flames fans here have the Oil living in their head rent free, polluting the Oiler thread non stop.

The funny part is BOTH teams have been abysmal over the last decade, full stop.

Who knows? The best player available at that spot. A recent Journal article suggested Zegras, Boldy, Turcotte or Krebs. If a team or two goes off the board like last year when Bouchard slid to us, they would love that big centre Kirby Dach if still available.

Watched Krebs all through minor hockey out here in Okotoks. Amazing work ethic and smart hockey player. Would like to see him on my team. At least hope he lands in the West so can keep watching him.

Watched Kirby Dach play against PA the other night. Awesome hockey player. Local product too (St Albert).

Good opportunity for a upcoming draft puck. I'm a fan of this kid and if he gets drafted by the Oil it will put me in a bad spot. Haha.

Well, I'm reflecting tonight over a "dram" of JD over designer blue ice cubes (from an iceberg close to Iceland) how a couple of POWERFUL NHL teams have played only 4 more games than the Oilers.. 4 more games

Yup but they played most games better. But in the end I guess it doesn’t really matter now....

Exactly. So many trolls on this thread bashing at every chance. But wait, their boys will be swinging for par soon enough too

I'm not an ABC guy, was rooting for the flames and any Canadian team left first. Maybe they can turn it around and win 4 straight, if they do, it will be a comeback for the ages.
