Just a bump with a new picture. I was asked if I had a picture from the front so I was able to get this pic. The ram doesn't really look to wide....or am I wrong?

No my friend's name is not Norm. And no it still hasn't been measured. I only took two more pics. The front shot and this one.

I would say.
He looks like he’s 11 years old and in the 190’s.
Worth remounting if you could find a cape.

I can't decide if I think it should be left as is or redone. I like the vintage look and for its age it is in incredible shape.
It would also look great cleaned up with a fresh cape.
If it ends up getting redone, take pictures of the 'form'. Some really interesting methods back then when you couldn't just order a form.

I get 10 1/2 and thinking he wont break 190. closer to mid 180's, great ram none the less. keep it as is, then you will know its old as Jesus. if its re-done you wont be able to tell the vintage what so ever. my thoughts. If that sheep was mounted in the 20 's -60's it was well done.

Just wanted to post a picture of a really amazing ram. Biggest ever shot. It was shot on Nov 3, 1920 by Jimmy Simpson. This ram was shot illegally 3 days after the season closed and was also shot illegally inside the Banff National Park boundaries. The sheep mount since then has hung in the New York Museum of Natural history.
This bighorn mount should come back to Alberta for us to enjoy and show off.
49 1/2 inch curl.
