Investigators have confirmed that the pair had “business dealings” in the Spences Bridge area and made frequent business trips there.

Police have so far not commented on online speculation that has suggested that both missing men have criminal records and that Scurr is involved in gang activity.

Police consider foul play in disappearance of B.C. men near Spences Bridge
RCMP search rural property near Spences Bridge for pair last seen July 17

Investigators are now considering the possibility of foul play in the disappearance of two South Surrey men who were last seen July 17. Their vehicle was found four days later near Logan Lake.

Police executed a search warrant Friday at a rural property in Spences Bridge, as part of the ongoing search for Ryan Provencher and Richard Scurr.

The property is the location of a business associated to Provencher, and investigators believe the two men were travelling there before they disappeared, Surrey RCMP said in a news release Friday.

Investigators were looking for evidence that could help locate the two men, police added.

That’s a lot of people not accounted for. Seems like some are gone in a flash.

I would not be surprised if theyre affiliated with the HA or another gang in surrey, its pretty much ground 0 for a lot of gang/biker violence right now. Not a real safe city to be in.

Some of those appear to be unfortunate accidents.
Some seem just a matter of lifestyle choice. Messing around with drugs and the wrong people can get you dead. Period.

I’m more curious about the missing people in the north/remote areas. Tree planters, hitch hikers... didn’t RCMP think it was a serial killer for awhile?

People from the major cities related to gangs and drug trafficking don’t surprise many when they go missing.

I know some (ok, most) are suspicious, but I wonder how many are people that just don't want to be found. As In, live of the land.

I don't get too surprised when people engaging in high risk activities go missing and are never found.

You get in the wrong strange vehicle on a deserted stretch of highway in the middle of the night... Where would anyone even start to look? No witnesses, no suspects, and millions of hectares available for disposal.

Just look at how long it took, and the resources used to find those 2 stains. Only a few miles from the virtual flag that they erected, announced their last known location.

Solo sheep hunt is a lot different than disappearing outside a pub. The horse rider was eventually found, deceased. Can't really lump them together.

I’m not surprised when people choose to live a high risk lifestyle and go missing.

Read this morning that their bodies were found north of Spences Bridge near Ashcroft on Aug 17th. Although the article doesn't say it, no doubt that this is a double homicide.
