Default Spiderwire

How do you tie it. I was using it for big Jacks and tied a jam knot on the leader and it just slid off. Someone said there was a special knot for it, nothing on the package for instructions.

Palomar. Make sure you wet the knot before pulling it tight! 100%

The only knot that holds all braided line very well is the palomar knot. Very easy to tie but very durable with no lost line strength.

I've had good luck with uni-knot on braids. No failures so far.

I used Spiderwire all summer and used the palomar knot. Works great. As noted above, google it and wet before pulling tight.

I use a clinch not with all my braided line. I didnt have one knot failure this year and i caught several 12-17 pound pike. I bent alot of leaders to lose hooks or had other leader failures but i never had the line break at the knot.

Here's another vote for Palomar with braided line. I have never lost a leader with a Palomar. Even pulled up somebody's lost anchor once...

Not good for winter, retains just enough water to freeze your whole spool up after you reel it in .
just google the knot.

I've also found that the line I have on is very visible under the water. I still have my summer line on as I'm told to wait until xmas for my new reel. It's 15 lb easy braid. I found I was getting alot of looks but no takes. I tied on 4' of flourocarbon that I picked up on ebay and it's been awesome since, it's virtually invisible. I have been targetting trout so its lite line, don't know hoe the 30 or 40 lb flouro would be for visibility.
