Default Bears, Some Pics and Some Questions.

Some sightings from my first year spring bear hunting. Been using mostly the camera thus far.
I have a couple questions for the more experienced ones here.
When out spot an stalk hunting what weather conditions would you consider prime? Does cold mornings and/or rain really shut them down or no?
I’m sure I’d figure it out after a few years of watching and learning but figured some of you might have a helpful opinion
Thanks

Rain and wind are bad everything else is good but change the kind of area I target according the weather

I would disagree that rain is bad maybe a down pour but I like a light rain for spot and stalk makes it a lot easier to stalk in. And I haven’t noticed a huge difference in sightings numbers change much.

I was wondering the same about rain. Do they have very different hours of activity than deer?

Everyone has their opinion but with black bears most agree last light is really good.

Truth is animals are always out there no matter what time of day you just need to find them

Even in the days viewing of dump bears, evening was the best time to see them.

Well, I’m off for the hills in a steady bit-more-than-drizzle. See how it goes I guess!
Any hunting is better then not!

Even in the worst conditions it only takes one good bear to show it self to fill a tag

Good luck

Personally I guess I find them in the rain. However the blood trail was completely washed away making tracking a bit harder

Nice bear! I see you're from Slave Lake, I assume that's where you took this bear?

Nice bear!

I will also say that wind is really the biggest problem condition.

On Saturday evening I suddenly felt a breeze on the back of my neck while setting up for a shot after a nice stalk... you can guess what happened next :/

Wind then continued on Sunday and I saw nothing after several sightings in the calmer conditions on Saturday.

Congrats like I said even under what I call bad conditions you can still find a bear and fill a tag lol.

A nice up close shot too. In my opinion if you can get it done at point blank range it shows you truly beat the animals senses. That to me means way more then a long range shot
