Default Euro Skulls in Airdrie

Please delete if not allowed:
I bought some dermestid beetles this spring to do euro mounts of the bears myself, my son and my hunting buddies harvested this spring, and to do all my own euro mounts in the future. I figured I’d see if there is a market in the Calgary area for a guy using beetles to do euro mounts.

Be sure to have your taxidermy permits.

Contact Les Parkin at 403-505-6752 about legal requirements and any questions. Has been doing the beetle thing for quite some time. Is very knowledgeable.

I was at the fish cop office in Calgary yesterday and am just waiting on their approval.

Don't think you need it for euros as it's not taxidermy. But wouldn't hurt to ask your local office.

Where did you get the beetles from? I was looking around a bit last year and couldn’t find them?

Default All approvals in

So I’ve been in contact with the Calgary fish and wildlife office... for strictly euro skulls, no tacidermy permit is required, however, since I’ve gotten a call from a guy who has a found dead wildlife permit for a mule deer he found hit on the road, needing the velvet preserved, i DO need a permit to preserve any hide/skin. Including the velvet.
So I’ve gone through the process, had an inspection of the facilities and gotten approvals for a taxidermy license. I will ONLY be doing skulls, but can make referrals for some great Taxidermist’s in southern Alberta.
Anyone needing skulls beetled, let me know!

Default Euro Mounts

I prefer the looks of Euro mounts. I’ll keep you in mind.
