no geese on Sunday.

Slower day. 1 was keeper, but he was put back.

Lake looks very close to turnover (or it has started), lots of floating dead plants and bottom material.

Default There now,

Here for my first time with a spare afternoon to fish. Interesting place to say the least. No details p,m only. Not much for geese. Lots of loons, pelicans and other ducks though. I will probably be back for a return visit.

Instead of starting a new thread, thought I would ask here. Anyone know if the dam work has been completed and the resovior filled back in?

Have not heard but last winter it was drained so low that there had to of been a major fish kill. I checked it out and it was 7fow in the middle of the res. so I don't hold out much hope for the near future.

As to the geese they usually don't show till mid oct. Should be some nice ones resting on the DU waters near by, as well as up around Gem and east of there.

Thanks Troller,
I kind of thought the same thing, but will take a drive out this winter and check it out.

Last I heard they are not done with the dam repair so to me it does not look too good for the fish if the water level stays low and most likely will get even lower.

It's been a couple years since an update. I assume the dam is finished and the water replenished? Anyone been out this winter?

I was out last week. Water is up but a lot has changed. Seems some of the spots I fished are now only 3ft. and others are 8 where they used to be more.

Put in 6 hrs. drilled a bunch of holes and got one baby pike.

won't be going back any time soon. thinking I will put the pontoon in this summer and check out the bottom now that the construction seems to have changed the bottom a lot.

Still a good place to spot for geese and ducks in the fall.
