Default Flys etc.

If you're looking for triggertech call Flys etc in High River they might have one or be able to get one in for you quickly. Great store worth the drive.

I have to agree, triggertech diamond is a nicer trigger. I’d buy one of those before a timney for sure.

Default got the timney installed in the Xbolt this morning

the Timney kit is about 1mm wider than the factory Browning trigger which has a recess all along both bottom sides to accommodate the safety bar. Took a few minutes to open up the carbon fibre for the extra width and was still sticking a bit so my wife suggested a tracing tape that she uses that leaves a blue chalk/powder when anything is pressed against it hard. Identified a high spot the safety ear was rubbing and it is all good. About 2 pounds (waiting for buddy with digital trigger pull scale) and nice and crisp. 200 % improvement on the factory original.

Default factory instructions from timney

said that unless special ordered direct from them all triggers leave factory at about 3 pounds pull and counter clockwise allen key generally reduces pressure by 1 pound for each full rotation. I wanted it slightly under 2 pounds so rotated counter clockwise 1 full turn and a bit (1/8) before installing. Friend arrived with digital pull gauge and tested 5 times and was pretty consistent 1 pound 14 ounces. Did about another 1/8 rotation and 5 more tests brought average pull down to 1 pound 10 ounces. Good enough to try on next coyote that crosses the yard/field.
