In the first picture it is a 30-06. In the second, 280 AI. Both barrels are 22” and in Winchester Fwt contour.

A dandy in either chambering. I just sold one, that I was a heartbeat away from turning into a 280. Probably should've just done it...

I’m looking at the new MRC offering. Looks like they have a winner with that one.

No kidding. I'll be very interested to see feedback on the newer MRC products, given the new ownership, and that model in particular. A lot to like about that one.

I emailed them on there new mountain rifle, to see if they are offering any different chamberings in the future. I would buy one today if it came in 25-06
Waiting to hear back.

That seams a bit high, as they are only $100 USD more than the X3 and the X3 price is $1899.00
But maybe PR X3 price is last years?
Either way they should be a decent competitor to the Kimber Montana at about the same price point.

Nicest shooting gun I’ve owned. The palm swell with the thumb hole is great.

Is that Forbes still a 30-06, chuck?
My 'new' sheep rifle. Took it hunting last fall, but never got on a legal ram. My friend, crazy_davey, loves Tikkas and especially this one. Almost to the point of a ugly sorta jealousy. The stupid thing out shoots some of my customs, so I'm not crazy about it. 😋

It is still a 30-06. But might be destined for a 270barrel. Who knows. Rumour has it that the T3 ultralight came or is coming in LH? Have you heard anything about that?

Yah. I read that they have been showing up at retailers in the States. Can't remember where I read that though.

I’ve been using a kimber Montana in 280 Ackley. Although I haven’t shot a sheep with it yet it has been on a lot of walks in the mountains and has become my go to rifle.
And I agree with previous posters that a couple pounds on the gun seem to make a way bigger difference than a couple pounds in the pack.

6.5 Rem Mag. It weight 6 3/4lbs pictured.
140gr ABs at 3000fps is sheep perfect.

Hey rem338win
what scope do you have on there? Is it a Leupold cds cap or aftermarket?

Watch those dials!

Weatherby MK-V Ultra-lightweight in 7mm Wtby
w/Vortex Razor HD LH 2-10 x 40
Skunked on sheep so far, but did get a moose. Tried to go all out for one rifle, while keeping as light as possible. Happy with it thus far!

That's a deadly looking combo. What reticle did you go with on the razor? I was thinking of picking one up but they are same price point as Swaro Z3s.

You sure that is not the 3-15 Razor? The 2-10 model does not have side focus. I have the 3-15 with G4 reticle (now discontinued) and although I haven't hunted with it it is a very nice scope. The other reticle option was way too busy for my liking so glad I picked up the G4 when WSS went under.
